Broom Owners Club

Greetings from the Chairman

That was 2022! A year free from travel restrictions, a year that gave us the opportunity of using our boats again and heading for new or familiar destinations, a year that allowed us to meet and mix afresh again and boy, did we take advantage of it. We gathered to celebrate the Jubilee, we met for cruises in company, to dine together and to have fun and celebrate owing our lovely Broom boats. We had meets in Ireland and Central regions and in Western, Eastern, Europe and Southern regions, too. We joined together for old favourites such as the Beccles weekend and the IoW gathering and for new ones such as the Naarden and Ireland meets, all of them great successes and all of them to be repeated. We met up with old friends and made new ones and attracted new members too, as the Club continues to grow from strength to strength. This growth depends above all on two things of course, the ability of Broom boats to cater for a wide range of boating options, from going to sea to exploring inland waterways, but above all it depends on the friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and lovely people who crew them, you the Members. So without further ado, I wish you, one and all, the very best of cruising in 2023, to be able to make the most of your boats in whichever way you choose, with much success in all your endeavours and with very best wishes for fair winds and calm waters. HAPPY NEW YEAR, David
