Broom 37 Continental
With a reputation as immensely sea-worthy and bringing together all the key layout features that have characterised Brooms boats ever since, the 37 Continental can fairly be said to be the grandmother of “Aft Cabins – Forward Thinking”!
Twin v-berths in the forward cabin and two singles in the aft cabin provide permanent berths for four, whilst the settee in the saloon converts to another double berth. All boats feature interior and exterior helms and have sliding doors on both sides of the saloon giving access to the side decks.
Power is almost invariably provided by twin 145hp turbo-charged Perkins 6.354 diesels.

Hello. I can see that it says that 186 Broom Continentals were built, my boat is from 1974 and has build no. C 188, how can it fit??? Claus from Denmark.

Hi Claus, not sure where that data came from but sometimes the boats were not numbered how you would expect, for instance the first one might have been 101 which might explain it. If anyone else has any knowledge on this perhaps they can add it?

I believe the numbers started from 100 and you may find some evidence of this written on the furniture / drawers on the underside as this was a referance when being built.

Hello, I have just bought a Broom Continental 37 built in 1960. The boat has been abandoned for years and is really not in a good condition. The interior decoration has almost completely disappeared, the engines do not start but they are not blocked. The electrical system looks very complex but almost complete. I have the data sheet of the motors but not the user's guide. I plan to try to bring this boat back to life so any advice, manuals, data sheets and spare parts are welcome. Thank you.
