HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
That was the year that was – 2024. And what a year! Here’s to 2025 and the continuing success of the Broom Owners Club.
During the year we celebrated twenty years of the Club, and how we celebrated. From the initial enthusiasm and endeavours of David Broad and Louise Busby, totally supported by Martin and Jennifer Broom, to the 2020 pageant and the celebratory 20th AGM, the Club set about signalling 20 years of fun, enjoyment and progress at national and regional events. None of it could have happened without you, the members, so this is a big thank you to all of you. Thank you to all of you who pay your subs – they allow the Club to grow and prosper. Thank you to all of you who join in, by writing articles for the fantastic Club magazine, Sweeping Statements, by letting us know what you are up to on our Club FB page, by offering advice on technical matters and cruising ideas on the Website forum and FB, too, for organising events or cruises in company, by doing that important bit extra and serving on the committee, but most of all thank you for being you, a member of the Broom Owners Club and making it all possible.
So, as 2024 disappears, perhaps with a bang and a party, or perhaps quietly as you sit on your boat or at home, waiting for the midnight hour and the new year to announce itself, its time for Allison and me to say HAPPY NEW YEAR! And to wish you a really wonderful 2025, with more happy boating memories to be made. Have the very best new year and on sea or river, wherever you find you are on your Broom boat, may you have fair winds and warm sunshine and may all your dreams come true.
