Broom 33 1990 “Flying Visit” – Moored Penton Hook, Thames

Retired from Civil Service administration in 2010. Joined BOC in September 2008, I have been BOC Membership Secretary for a number of years so, as a Committee member, I have an understanding of how the Club operates. I also act as an administrator for the BOC Facebook page. More than 25 years boating experience originally as the owner of a 35 European and latterly a Broom 33, cruising mainly on the River Thames but also downriver to the Medway and to France. Involved in local boat club and residents’ committee. I am Company secretary as well as volunteer crew for the River Thames Boat Project. When employed, I helped organise visits for staff overseas and for advisory committees to UK locations and have arranged AGMs etc. The needs and preferences of the members are changing but I hope to help maintain the corporate identity of the Broom Owners Club.
