BROOM OWNERS CLUB CHAIRMAN’S LETTER OF COMMENDATION
It is with great pleasure that I write to tell you that the Committee of the Broom Owners Club has unanimously agreed to award you with a Chairman’s Letter of Commendation in recognition of your contribution to the success of the Club stand at the Southampton International Boat Show, 2023.  
With such a short time frame from when you were first asked, until the start of the show, the Committee were very impressed with the speed in which you managed to gather photographs, source and purchase a pop-up banner and have the photographs reproduced to provide the Stand with an attractive display, which created a focus of interest for both passers-by and visiting Club members. All were impressed by the display.
Our National Events Coordinator, Linda Varney, was particularly grateful to be able to put the provision of the display photographs into your safe hands, allowing her to concentrate on her dealings with the Show organisers, who tended to leave everything to the last minute, with consequent delays in arranging for other aspects of the show to be put in place. Linda was very pleased therefore to put your name forward for this Commendation, which I was very happy to support, with the full backing of the Club Committee.
It is actions such as yours, Peter, that ensure that the Club continues to grow in a strong and meaningful way, reliant as we are on voluntary input from members, who give of their own time to make the Club the success it is. In this particular case, you contributed to our aims to let the public know about us and to potentially attract new members and your efforts were instrumental in the Club achieving its objectives at the Show. For this reason, I am particularly pleased to be able to award this very well deserved Letter of Commendation. Congratulations!
