CHAIRMAN’S LETTER OF COMMENDATION
 
it is with very great pleasure that I write to award you with this Chairman’s Letter of Commendation. This award is presented to members who have enhanced the good name and reputation of the Club and have contributed in a significant way to the enjoyment of the Club by its members. It recognises your vital contributions to the success of the Club’s 20th anniversary AGM, an important milestone for the Club, always ably  assisted and unfailingly supported by your husband, Alex, who generously lent his own great skills and competency to the project.
 
From a standing start, you used your expertise and enthusiasm to ensure that the foundations for a successful and enjoyable AGM were put in place. Your attention to detail and innovative approach were outstanding and your excellent negotiating skills ensured that the club was provided with a top class venue for the meeting and gala diner, at a competitive price and at a location befitting this special 20th anniversary.
 
What made the weekend particularly memorable was the variety of extra activities included, which were not only interesting in their own right, but introduced the great city of Birmingham to a largely unknowing audience. This certainly served to attract members to this new and, for the Club, unusual venue. The complicated planning to dovetail everything into place was made to seem easy by your skilled application of IT and your ability to ensure no detail was overlooked. You provided all the necessary ingredients to ensure a successful and unforgettable experience, one which members will remember for a long time.
 
The Club is indebted to you and I add my own very personal thanks to you, for your willingness to persevere, despite the obstacles, some from unexpected quarters, and to provide a very special anniversary AGM and I take great delight in awarding this Chairman’s Letter of Commendation to you. Many congratulations and thank you for what you have done for the Broom Owners Club.
