Broom 37 Crown “Salem II”, moored at Glasson, Athlone

I have been involved in boating for around five years and I love to spend time with my husband Pete on our Broom Crown Salem II which is currently moored in Ireland. I enjoy getting to know other Broom Owners and helping them to enjoy the benefits of being a member of the BOC. Boating is a very sociable pastime however I also enjoy the peace and quiet of the River Shannon in Ireland where I can spend my time enjoying the wildlife and improving my photography skills. 

Social media is now a part of our daily lives and I like to keep my computer skills up to date. I enjoy all aspects of computers and IT and I feel this will be helpful if I am lucky enough to be appointed Membership Secretary. My previous jobs include working in banking and financial services as well as legal services, working as a Will writer. All my jobs have involved working with people which I really enjoy. 

I would love to be involved in promoting the club further and as the Membership Secretary I think this position would give me the perfect opportunity to do this.
