Many thanks for that. With 2 engines and two throtlle controls for each I assume I would have to adjust all 4 x throttle cables . Is that correct?

We have Volvo tmd 41 A engines in our broom 10/70. You could simply increase the revs by adjusting the cable screw on the throttle adjusting cable either at the engine end or at the morse lever control at the helm.

When ou say “adjust the idle screw on the fuel pump” – shouldthat be the idle screw on top of the injector?

I’ve been give sound advice relating to increasing your rpm that you require a laser tacho and then adjust the idle screw on the fuel pump .. hope this helps?
