  • Hello John.
    Sorry, only just picked this up. There is no extra reinforcement behind the fixing brackets as far as I can see. The fibreglass is pretty thick there anyway so I assume it’s not needed.
    Yes there are two struts, one each side. Each one 1500N as in my photo on page 1 of the tread.

    Are you refering to the shart support bearing,commonly known as the plummer block or pillar bearing?

    This pic is the one is fitted to my Broom 32. So simplistic in design. After removing top-section there is a split white metal shells with a splash ring that lubricates the shell bearings. Recommended oil is 20-50w non sythetic.
