The Thames Region Lockdown cruise ended in Abingdon-on-Thames, and to celebrate the successful conclusion, a party was held - a virtual one, of course, but nevertheless a successful one, with good chatter, a little sipping of wine, and a rousing rendition of the Broom Boat song, composed and performed by the many talented John Oldham.  Twelve crews joined in the fun, and you can see all 23 happy faces below. At the moment technology defeats me, but when I’ve mastered the Zoom recording system I hope to extract John's melodious rendition and put it up here for all to hear. In the meantime it received a great round of applause from the party-goers. If you want to sing along, the next time you're afloat, its reproduced below, and its sung to the tune of the Eton Boat Song. Here's to actual cruising and the hope that we can soon get on the water and stay overnight on our lovely Broom boats. In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed the virtual cruise, and many thanks to all who contributed with photos and stories - I'll end on one of those little known but 'ha ha' facts. It took me longer to write the last day's cruise than it would to actually do it! Three days compared to one. Ah! well, Lockdown times......
