2018 Plans Eastern Region

This year's fitting out supper took place at Coldham Hall on 28th April. 61 people attended and one of our guests was Dr John Packman, Chief Executive of the Broads Authority. Questions followed his talk and it turned out to be a lively evening with him agreeing to addressing some of our concerns. He has offered to come back to a future event. Brian Wilkins, Chairman of NSBA also gave a talk.

The fitting out cruise starting the day after the supper was delayed by bad weather and only got as far as Southwold.

The Brundall boat show will be on 19th May but as Broom Boats are not exhibiting we will be in the midst of things at NYA/Tingdene. Help from members similar to last year would be appreciated.

Saturday 9th June to Sunday 10th John Ogden is running a beginners cruise in and out of Lowestoft/Yarmouth to encourage inexperienced members to try out the sea, maybe a look at Scroby Sands and at LOW speed. It must emphasised as always that members are responsible for their own navigation and safety and the suitability of their boats.
