Broom Owners Club memorial to Martin Broom

As members will be aware, sadly Martin Broom died in October 2013. It is the committee's wish that we should pay tribute to the contribution he made to the development of Broom Boats and the establishment and growth of the Broom Owners Club. David Broad, the co-founder and first Chairman of the Club, has very generously donated an antique silver cup that will be known as "The Martin Broom Memorial Trophy". This will be awarded annually to a member; the first occasion being at the AGM in 2015.

Broom Boats Ltd held their boat show at Brundall on Saturday, 12th April. The main focus of the event was the UK launch of the new 430. Other models including the 370, were also on display. The company kindly provided space in the marquee for BOC to have a stand. This was manned throughout the day by members of the committee.
Despite very cold weather, the event was well attended and we were pleased to meet many current members and recruit some new ones.
The boat show coincided with the Eastern Region's supper which was organised by the new co-ordinator Andrew Holmes. This proved to be a very popular and successful gathering.
