IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!
October, the leaves are changing colour and there’s a little dampness in the air. Bright sunny days no longer provide summer warmth but still allow standing on deck in ‘Ts’ and shorts whilst thoughts turn to snugging the boat for the winter ahead - and of course to that long considered article for Sweeping Statements....
Did you discover new cruising grounds in the lovely summer weather? Did you re-visit some old grounds and find them still as good to cruise around? Has some new bit of kit worked really well or have you overcome technical difficulties for some promised conversion or renovation? Let the rest of us know! Help fellow members overcome technical problems by sharing your knowledge and experience or introduce members to your favourite areas or provide navigation tips on how to more easily and safely get there. Share your experiences with fellow members and strengthen the reasons for joining and remaining in the Club. You know it makes sense.

Beccles Rally 25/26th August
The annual Eastern Region Rally took place again this year, brilliantly organised by Jane Neale. A record 26 boats turned up and on the Saturday we were treated to free cocktails by Pedros Restaurants, so generous, followed by a BBQ. Rain on Sunday did not deter us from the usual tea and cakes in the afternoon and a dinner was held in the Waveney Hotel later with entertainment by a mind reader. Spooky. We have booked for next year.
The next event will be a guided walk by Keith and Carole Rowe on Sunday 7th October. Please contact them for further details. The Christmas party will go ahead on 1st December. Details to follow.
