In February, the club was approached by UK based Ultrasonic Works offering a Broom Owner Club member the chance to have a Clearhull Ultrasonic Antifouling System fitted to their boat free of charge. In return, the chosen owner would be required to produce a report for the company on the effectiveness of the product and allow photographs to be taken of the installation.
Five club members submitted an application and these were all passed on to the Ultrasonic Works to make the final choice.
The chosen owner is Frank Hawkins who has a 1998 Boom 38 cl moored at Burdham Pool, Chichester.
It is likely that the system will be fitted in about three weeks time and we will look forward to reading Frank's reports during the season.
